Belper War Memorial Research
Richard Pinkett visited the Memorial Gardens in Belper in 2009 and looked at the faded names on the Memorial and thought that there should be more than just the names on a piece of stone!
There is a group of like minded people scattered around the UK who are trying to do similar projects, but with the vast numbers of people on the memorials it is a massive undertaking. The research is ongoing; he has also started researching the people on the Memorial from the Second World War.
His preliminary findings are in the two documents below:
