re:connaissance is a project along the Derwent Valley World Heritage site to recall the impact of the World Wars, focussing on the effects of WW2 and the changes that happened around Belper.
Arts worker Dee Shiels has collected photos, memorabilia and memories of conflict and war in and around Belper.

The re:connaissance project has been funded by the Museums Libraries and Archives Council with Big Lottery funding and managed by Fleet Arts on behalf of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site Partnership.
